The relatively new tire (29000 miles driven) did burst on the side. The discount tire store representative couldn't explain why? I have pictures that i can send you. In addition to the bills i incurred in the repair and replacement. Total cost $140.30 in total. The dealer believes it is a manufacturing defect.

On thursday, february 8, 2007, i was driving on i-75 at 6:20am and the right rear tire of my 2005 honda pilot ex-l blew. The side wall had a large hole in it. She was not aware of the tires rubbing against anything or running over anything. Consumer read on line that the tires on vehicle were not made for a suv, but for regular passenger vehicles.
